Originally from Tampa, Christina moved to Venice with her one-year-old daughter, filled with aspirations for a brighter future. She found refuge at Our Mother's House, where she spent two years completing her degree and saving for her own home. Venice quickly embraced her as its own, providing a sense of belonging. Christina began her career in Venice at a bank, where she developed essential customer service and sales skills. It was here that she crossed paths with a paralegal from a nearby attorney's office, leading to a new opportunity. As a legal assistant, she gained valuable insights into the workings of a small business and the unique challenges of operating within a small community. This experience not only enhanced her professional skills but also solidified her connection to Venice as the place where she could build a promising life for herself and her daughter.

Transitioning to the public sector marked a pivotal point in her career, where she flourished both personally and professionally over the next eleven years. Her passion for helping others became the driving force of her work, leading her to utilize her artistic abilities in creating compelling marketing brochures, engaging social media posts, and other promotional materials. Eager to expand her skill set, she delved into website design, honed her public speaking abilities, and actively conducted community outreach initiatives. Additionally, she took on the challenge of learning mapping in GIS, a powerful map making program, further diversifying her expertise and reinforcing her commitment to serving the community effectively.
